BESPOKE METALWORK
Architectural features, historical replicas and decorative commissions, expertly created in metal
Where ideas take shape in metal
Not every project can be found in a catalogue.
Sometimes a building demands a detail that no longer exists. A historic feature needs to be faithfully recreated. An architect has an idea that has never been made before. Or a practical requirement deserves a solution that is as attractive as it is effective.
This is where our bespoke service begins.
From architectural features and historical replicas to decorative objects, specialist rainwater components and one of a kind commissions, we combine modern manufacturing technology with traditional metalworking skills to turn ideas into beautifully made, lasting pieces.
Made in our Hampshire workshop using copper, brass, zinc, stainless steel and other carefully selected metals.
“Some of our most interesting work begins with a customer asking, ‘Do you think you could make this?’ More often than not, the answer is yes.”
Melanie, Sales Manager

Architectural metalwork without the ordinary
Architecture is often defined by its details.
We manufacture bespoke architectural metalwork for traditional buildings, contemporary homes, commercial developments, public spaces and heritage projects. Each piece can be designed to complement its surroundings, solve a particular technical challenge or create a distinctive focal point.
Our work can include decorative rainwater features, roof details, cornices, cappings, fascias, soffits, vents, grilles, panels, trims, housings, spouts, finials and unusual architectural components.
Whether it is quietly integrated into a building or deliberately designed to command attention, every item is considered in relation to its setting, purpose and material.

When the original cannot be replaced, it can often be recreated
Historic metalwork carries the character of the building around it. When an original feature becomes damaged, lost or unsuitable for continued use, replacing it with something generic can diminish that character.
We can study an existing item, drawing, photograph, pattern or surviving fragment and use it to manufacture a faithful replica.
Traditional hand skills are supported by careful measurement, digital design, precision machining and modern fabrication, allowing us to reproduce intricate forms while retaining the appearance and spirit of the original.
Where appropriate, we can also discreetly improve strength, fixings or durability without compromising the historic character of the piece.
From a single missing component to a complete replicated feature, our aim is not simply to copy the past, but to understand and respect it.

Decorative pieces with purpose and personality
Metal can be practical, but it certainly does not have to look ordinary.
We create decorative objects and unusual features for buildings, gardens, interiors, hospitality settings and public spaces.
Previous commissions have ranged from sculptural water spouts and ornamental roof details to copper vessels, decorative railings, lighting features, specialist covers and completely original pieces.
Copper can be polished, aged or encouraged to develop a natural patina. Stainless steel can offer a clean contemporary appearance. Brass brings warmth and richness, while zinc provides a softer architectural finish that changes subtly over time.
Every material has its own character. We help you choose the one that will look right, perform properly and continue to become part of the story of the building.

More than fabrication
A successful bespoke piece begins long before metal reaches the workshop.
We can help develop an initial concept, explore practical manufacturing options and consider materials, finishes, fixings, installation and long term performance. This collaborative approach allows ambitious ideas to be refined into pieces that can be manufactured reliably and used with confidence.
Our workshop capabilities include sheet metal fabrication, CNC machining, waterjet and laser cutting, folding, forming, turning, milling, welding, soldering, brazing, polishing and finishing.
Modern machinery gives us accuracy and repeatability. Traditional skills give us judgement, adaptability and an understanding of how metal behaves. The real strength comes from using both.
One piece or an entire project
Bespoke does not have to mean large, extravagant or complicated.
We are equally comfortable producing a single replacement component, a small collection of decorative pieces or a coordinated package of architectural metalwork. What matters is finding the right solution and making it properly.
We regularly work with homeowners, architects, designers, contractors, conservation specialists, craftspeople and fellow manufacturers. Some arrive with complete technical drawings. Others come to us with a photograph, a damaged original or simply the beginning of an idea.
Both are welcome.

"Some ideas deserve more than an ordinary solution."
Matthew, Operations Manager
